Albert Finney Irish? I think not. He's from Salford, Greater Manchester- one of that glorious generation of British working class actors who came to prominence in the 60s.

I find his Poirot overly mannered. The TV version of the book- starring David Suchet as Poirot- is much better. That too boasts an all-star cast, though the wattage isn't quite as brilliant.

Oh, I don't know why I thought he was Irish. Probably Miller's Crossing. I'll correct it, thanks.
