I made comments about characters existing in multiple Clamp universes, specifically one that they killed off.

In which those series didn't exist yet... but Clamp was starting to do cross-series stuff with the newsletter pages that they were putting the the Angelic Layer manga.

Yeah. I'm not sure when CLAMP started crossing over their work, but hell, Duklyon and CCD and 20Mensou were all one universe, and then X1999 connected with Tokyo Babylon and then CCD...

Hell, Chobits had various references to other work scattered in it didn't it?

Heh... no, thankfully. No one trolls my silly little blog that far back.

Yeah.... Clamp has been made of crazy crossovers since the begining of time. It's part of what I love about them. But this friend of mine thought that I was being crazy when I watched Chobits and said "Wait! You can't just say 'Hey she died' when she was alive and well in Angelic Layer!". Ironically, he's now a bigger CLAMP fanboy than me.

Huh. Yup, you're right. Hat's off to you WOMAN. haha, that was so something I would have said. Also, I'm terrified by the fact that was SIX AND A HALF YEARS AGO!!! Holy crap we're old!

I will say that the manga for both Chobits and Layer have the character connections between the two, but I don't see either as tying into the TB/CCD/X universe. Granted, not having watched the anime, it might be different, but I still contend that not all the CLAMP universes are the same universe. xxxHolic and Tsubasa develop the more standard approach of multiple parallel universes, but that approaches the theory that /all/ stories /everywhere/ are related, and not a single "universe"; I'd approach the dimension hopping in Tsubasa like traveling through Ether or Shadow, with infinite possibilities, rather than pointing to it as a unification of the entire CLAMP canon, which to a degree, it is. Still doesn't mean that first iteration RG Veda is directly related to Chobits.
