Hate to decloset myself, but yeah, the Handley case made me anxious about my JPqueen orders I do every few months. My state isn't exactly much better when it comes to resisting moral panic. Eep. Stay frosty.
Here's hoping. CBLDF is pretty shiny in its ways, and Gaiman's attention is spreading the rounds. The obscenity charges require the Miller Test, which, we hope, is even difficult to manage getting a hung jury for in the Bible-Belt, even if said belt is hiked up to the nipples.
Also, what's been brought to my attention is disturbing in itself, but probably worth noting -- Handley is male, a collector, and pushing 40. He's sensation material for people who want to start a circus. It's infuriating, but true. So as far as the fear of being persecuted goes, you or I might very well have an unfair advantage in being young, female, and (projecting the image of an) innocent. [sigh]
... Depending on how they plan to follow this, anyway, considering how many people do get packages overseas unhindered, faces unknown. I wonder what really kicked it off.

And yeah... I'm a little freaked out... but I'm really hoping that there is sanity and some respect for the first amendment to be gained from this.
