Thought experiment over

The thought of dividing myself between two locations seems enticing, but also quite inefficient. The amount of money I'd spend would leave me with little left over....but, if a strong, *important*, grounded reason were to surface in the near future, like if my job required me to move to New York for a while, I'd do it and find a way to make it work ( Read more... )

It seems to me that a sense of "home" would weaken if you had two of them. Maybe I'm wrong. I guess I'm thinking of plants - it's hard to put roots down when you're constantly on the move. Some people don't value the roots. But if you do, it's smart to surround yourself with fertilizer and grow.

I'd like to know what was pulling you to even consider moving. Does it seem more glamorous? Fewer problems? More community? A person who you want to get lucky with?
