I completely agree. Stay home! I hate it when I go out and see people who clearly should be at home.
But, the sad fact is that many employers make it next to impossible for their employees to stay home when they're sick, whether by requiring a doctors note for absences due to illness (who wants to go to the doctor for a cold?) or by docking their pay (not everyone can afford to miss several days of work), or whatever. I know I've lost at least one job because of taking too many sick days. :(
I just don't see the worth in bringing in a sick employee where that person can spread his/her germs. But I also understand the hassle of going to get a Dr's note for a simple case of the sniffles.
Its a delicate balance really.
To go to work and risk getting others sick and not going to work and having enough money til the next paycheck.
