OH Sess...I'm sorry you are having such a time with things lately. I just want you to know that I do care about you. And as a friend I do want to let you know that I think tensions are indeed high over in slash and on a lot of peoples lj's because of the over exposure for wanting more of other pairings. It's not pleasant. I don't want you to compromise your liking of other pairings, but I don't know what to advise you to do about calming the waters about this situation. I just don't want to see you getting hurt by some of the animosity developed. Maybe just I don't know, promote your pairings without making comparisons to Ry/Col. They know they are not your favorite pairing, so just focus on your favorite pairing without mentioning them. That's all I can suggest. You know my dear, it is a more Ry/Col based community and there will be no changing or swaying on that point. And its hard to fight fire with fire. Thing is, I only mentioned Ryan/Colin to say it was less rare than Ryan/Wayne - that's not a lie, nor is it an insult, so I really don't understand why everyone's arguing with me. The arguing itself doesn't bother me at all (I'm immune to arguments by now), it's just so frustrating because I don't know WHY people are arguing with me!
And it's really not helping my stress levels with everything else that's been going on.
*sigh*
I'm gonna take a break from posting/commenting on WLS for a little while...and I mean a little while - last time I said I'd take a break, I posted within 3 days...it'll probably be more like 2 weeks this time, though, as I'm getting myself settled into college and running sherwood_stiles and dealing with my mum. I'll still make regular visits of course. I just want a break of double checking every letter to make sure I won't offend someone with my opinion. .x.Sess.x.
I know dear...I'm just giving you a heads up. I hope you continue to come and share with us because you know I enjoy everything that you do. I just don't know what to say in dealing with situations like this...I would just not mention Ry/Col for a while...just my opinion. Woah...novel! Anyway, I know what you're saying about the ships - it was kind of my argument when we had that MASSIVE fight that spread over about 3 posts: the slashy stuff isn't actually real, so any assumptions we make about them is our opinion, therefore if people hurt our ship, they're hurting our opinion, and that's never good.
Not that I was intentionally out to hurt anyone. It just seems like certain people are LOOKING for a fight, so they're twisting my words. That's not neccessarily true, of course - just a theory.
Anyhoo, I guess all this crap is to make up for the fact that college is going really, really well at the moment.
La la la, I'm going insane from exhaustion now (I woke up naturally at 5:30am), so I'm probably gonna go to bed soon.
