The problem is, everything you do in life has an effect on everything following it. And seemingly insignificant things could end up causing such a change that it's hard to determine what things would be like, even if all you removed were the bad things.

If the saying, That which doesn't kill us makes us stronger is true, and if our lives were free of the negative things, how weak would we end up being? And as a result, would we miss opportunities that seemed so obvious to the 'stronger' us?

Wow! That was a bit much first thing in the morning, but there's my philosophical take on it. Keep in mind, please, that I've had no coffee yet. ;)
