Snape will always be snarky!Snape to me ... I just can't write a non-snarky!Snape. But he has always been supportive of Draco, and will continue to be that way (even if it means supporting Harry as a result).
Poor Draco....he is going to have himself completely convinced that Harry doesn't love him anymore if he's not careful. But Harry does love him, everyone knows it....right? I can't wait for the next chapter. Harry has to think of a way out of his mess.
"Now, calm down Draco. I do not mean that he wants her in that way. I simply mean that he has a history with her. She is his best friend's sister. She loves him, in her own deluded way. He is a Gryffindor, remember. He is not out just to save himself. He would not wish to harm her, no matter what she is doing to him. So he will have to find a way out of his predicament without causing harm to his captor. That makes his situation much more difficult."
I suspect, if it were you in the same predicament, that you would have manhandled her and been home the next day. However, Saint Potter - wasn't that your pet name for him in school? - won't have any of that."
It made me laugh to know that Severus is so insightful about this. I'm glad he came to help Draco out. And his reassurance that Harry loves Draco was sweet.
Oh, I think Snape is insightful about a lot of things (otherwise he wouldn't have been very successful as a spy) ... he just doesn't always make it that clear. And I 'hear' him saying all this with his general tone of disgust and disbelief at how 'Stupid Gryffindors' act. Besides, he views Harry as someone who always wants to be the hero. AND he wants to reassure Draco - even if it is about Harry.
Thanks ♥
BTW, I am currently finishing up your b'day fic ... should have it posted later today. :o)
Yay, I have now caught up on this fic. Ginny in this fic makes me think of Kathy Bates' character in Misery. When someone says "I'm doing this for your own good," it's never a good sign.
Love the Draco/Hermione interaction. It's difficult to write dialogue like that, and you do it very well.
BTW, thank's for the help on the coding thing. I really appreciate it. Do you have any idea where I can have someone check over a fic for me before I post it to a community?
Oh, and perfect Snarky-but-caring!Snape. Also hard to write well.
Honestly, I'm less surprised you're busy than that you'd even consider it. I found the beta community and posted a request. It seemed a little dead, so I might take you up on the offer for a rec later. I'll see how it goes. Thanks again.

Silly boy, though. He shouldn't doubt Harry's love for him. But, alas, he's still insecure, no matter what bravado he puts on outwardly.

*nods* The only one that doesn't know it is Ginny.
I am hoping to get the next chapter up faster than this last one!

Why wouldn't I consider it? If someone's writing is good (that's a compliment, by the way), I don't mind. Er ... if it's H/D anyway.
