Part 1 - Next Year Christmas day arrived, and it was with some trepidation that Draco and Harry walked through the Manor gates. Harry still wasn't comfortable around Lucius after all this time, and he was feeling more than a little bit vulnerable in his present condition. He was, however, looking forward to seeing Narcissa.
As it turned out, there had been nothing to worry about. In fact, thanks to Draco, the evening had turned out very well indeed.
Harry Floo-called Ron and Hermione, as he had promised, as soon as they had arrived home. They knew he was nervous about sharing their news with Draco's parents, and short of going with them, it was the best they could offer.
"You would have been very impressed, Ron. Draco spent the entire evening dropping hints about the Malfoy line and how far back it went, knowing full well that Lucius always loved to berate him for not carrying on the name. So when Lucius started in on him, Draco --"
"Might I tell them?" Draco interrupted. Harry nodded. "I said, 'Oh, Father, I'm sorry. I got so immersed in our conversations this evening that I completely forgot to mention that Harry's pregnant.'"
"Sly as a fox, you are," Ron commented, sounding impressed.
"Yeah," Harry grinned. "It's a talent."
