Recipe 16: Penne with Vodka

From the frequently-referenced Joy of Cooking (1997, p. 309). You could probably make this without the vodka - but why?

That sounds amazing! I would definitely substitute the penne for another type of pasta, but yum! :D

Penne, rotini, egg noodles...it doesn't work AS well with spaghetti or spaghettini (thin sauce, thin pasta and all) but it's still good!

I knew you'd like something with vodka in it. ;)

I only like thin pasta, tbh, I find dishes with penne, rotini and the like have too much noodle going on. You only taste pasta, not the sauce and other things in it. Maybe fettuccine would be a nice compromise?
