Kerri & I were once at Cora's in downtown Halifax where one of the servers was what I am sure was a walking menu on legs. He had the thing memorized, offered suggestions, and was one of the most pleasant individuals I have ever dealt with. After our meal, when I asked to see the manager, everyone looked like a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. When I expressed our gratitude about the young man, the manager actually looked surprised that we were complimenting the place, not bitching about it.
If only people learned to be a bit more patient, understanding, and treated others they way they wanted to be treated, the world would be a better place. I invite the sneering ranting and ravers to work a shift in a busy restaurant before treating a server like anything less than a regular person.
