I don't think this is a cold any more, I think it's actual flu. Woke up last night with an actual, honest-to-God fever and got about four hours of sleep the whole night. On behalf of your coworkers, allow me to THANK you for using up two of your precious sick days. MY coworker came in with the Death Flu today. (No, really. Fever, vomiting, diarrhea, the works.) We ended up sending her home two hours into her shift. Just long enough to expose the rest of us to whatever virus she's carrying. So while I understand that people may not want to miss a day's work (or a day's pay), I really really would like people to consider taking the day off if they need it. (And can afford to, naturally. If a day's pay is the difference between your kids having food on the table or not, by all means, come in to work.) I mean, I understand coming in with a cold. But coming in and subjecting the rest of us to your highly contagious flu, all the while depriving yourself of the rest you need? Unnecessary.

That was one of my considerations, actually, not wanting to spread the damn thing, especially since that's probably where I picked it up from. Add to that the fact that I can't really talk, can't breathe well, and my job is essentially talking all day, and that just makes it even less rational that I should go in to work.

And sorry to hear that you're feeling poorly. The flu truly sucks. Hope you're feeling better soon!
