Prepositions are irrelevant to toddlers

The Girl and I were tidying up the kitchen, when she declared her sudden need to "wash hands!" This couldn't be done in the kitchen, instead we absolutely had to wash hands in the upstairs bathroom. Hee. We haven't had that problem yet with Princess. She definitely wants to sit on her Dora the Explorer cushy potty seat, so she always lifts the lid and puts on her seat.

That's so cute. :) The Girl has a potty seat and even knows how to use it. Though, usually in relation to being told to sit on the potty. Standing on the potty is an entirely different situation, apparently, so no need for the potty seat. I think it largely stems from the fact that she really doesn't quite get the whole "I gotta go" sensation until she's actually, you know, going. Then it's too late. She was just standing on the potty washing her hands and minding her own business when all of the sudden, oops! I figure, she's not going to college in Pull-ups; and, if she does, she can pay for them herself. Otherwise, she'll probably run around the yard half-nakie this summer until she gets the hang of using the potty.

Yes, my mom refers to that as "potty camp". She swears it only took a couple of days for me and my sisters, and we were much younger than Princess is now. I guess that's part of the consequence of more absorbent diapers!
