All I can say is make sure you talk to him and lower how much Gald you give him. Also make sure not to fight any battles if you can help it, as those kill him quickly. x_x I would suggest also looking for the springs, there are two, and both restore his HP.

Lower it... Sounds good. Haha... Then I'm gonna need the max of Holy Bottles... DX I think I'll start over from the save point and get more gald... =/ The battles leve you up alot... But too bad it lowers his HP... x_x
