I couldn't be there to show you around, but I have it on good authority that Ensenada, Mexico, about 70 miles south of San Diego, is a wonderful place for a weekend getaway. San Diego itself is pretty nice too, and you wouldn't have to worry about dinking around at the border. One of the nice things about Ensenada is that it's just inside the limit for needing a passport.
Ooooh, shiny. I want to go somewhere I've never been, so S.D. isn't really on the roster, but Ensenada is different! With special effects tours and everything.
Round trip to my neck of the woods in mid- to late-May: $363.
Housing: Free guest quarters. Transportation: Take my car, I only need it for a weekly client meeting. :) Beach: Free Foofy rum drinks by pool: Free; no transpo needed
I say mid/late-May 'cause I'll be all by my lonesome with Bob going up north for 5 months (after Mom visits).
I can only give you a weekend (since I've used up my vacation time on being ill last month), but tell me which Fri evening to Sunday evening you want, and what airport to fly into, and I'm all yours!
