Ok, this entire post is too funny. Where did you even find The Sentinel reruns (I still miss that show on occasion. It was good.)?

If you can't find anything The Sentinel, you might try a John Scalzi novel. Most of the protagonists have Sentinel like powers and sooner or later they always end up trying to hold a "pass." :)

OMG. During the day (8am - 4 pm), the SciFi channel randomly marathons older TV series. Sometimes they're good ones you barely remember (e.g., TimeTraxx), and sometimes they're awful (e.g., Galactica 1980). When I remember, I quickly check the listings to see whether there's anything I want to record.

John Scalzi's all right, it's true, but the very first TS episode includes a whole 5-10 minutes set in "5 years ago". The Jim Ellison that comes out of the jungle with an army of natives at his back in order to greet a shocked-silent army ranger . . . those 10 seconds are so intense and show that so much happened in those 18 months in the jungle. I want to know! I need to know more about what happened, how he survived, what he did, how he got so laser-focused and serious. Since SciFi did not provide more episodes with that kind of flashback, I'm desperately seeking fanfic ( ... )

Well, as I believe is dictated in the laws of fandom, you can always write it yourself if you can't find it out in the ether... :)

Very true. And I may have to. But I was really hoping someone else would.

(In part because I want it now, and in part because I'm not up to writing the trauma of burying 7 men in an 8-man team and then carrying on with the mission.)
