Good luck on the job. If you get it that'll be one more person I can visit in the Bay, which is awesome. (My bro is in SF till the fall, when he moves to Taiwan for a year, my cuz is also in SF, and my sis is in Palo Alto...)
Thanks! I've got my fingers crossed; it sounds soooo neat.
Oh, a sister in Palo Alto? I'm thinking about getting an apartment there if I get the job. (Or y'know, in Mtn View or the correct section of San Jose.)
I would write something completely wrong and attempting to be witty in Japanese, but my brain is mostly dead. It sounds like a rather cool place, though.
**laughing** Onegai? Tanoshimi ni natte! Or, y'know, not.
Sorry to hear about your flu and annoying womb. Okay. For realz this time, I will (I swear) gramatically shred your piece. Email it to me. I'm assuming you want standard American grammar . . . but you need to tell me one thing: do you like or dislike the serial comma? (Because I love it, but will keep myself from "fixing" it if you don't.)
A rewrite of a faerie tale? Like what? I did a strange yaoi rewrite of Sir Orfeo once, and I redid the ballad "El Paso" for Harry Potter. Why?
Likewise (on the seeing again). Recognized yourself in my "notable story", did you?
Ugh. I'm now beyond distraught over the job thing. I was good at being all positive and "any day now" for 1-2 years (depending on how you count my unemployment history), but I've totally lost the plot now. Maybe I should be a barrista until something good comes along...
I'm sorry to hear about the suckiness. I saw some of it on your journal and my heart went out in sympathy.
Send me an email when you're going to be down next (you've got my email, right? B/c I don't think I have yours . . . . ). Hopefully we'll get together. We can wallow in misery (or ignore it stridently).

**pout** I was so hopeful that you'd get the job (which you sounded excited about) and that we'd get to hang out. Woe, indeed.

I was in LA last weekend--sorry I missed you. I may be down again in a few weeks.
