I'm sure others feel the same way about my side but the other side just seems so disingenuous, intellectually dishonest and morally bankrupt I can't bring myself to debate politics with them anymore. The up-is-down, black-is-white mentality has drained my will to argue.

It's not any particular "side" but the tone of the discussion. I perceive it to be much harsher than it used to be. The racist email thread, for example.

I can't answer for others, but I have a touch of old boarder* fatigue. I'm sure I'll start posting more again when the HBO series starts and ADWD is released. But for now, I've sort of run out of things to say. And I have LJ to keep in touch with those of you I've met irl, which is the most important thing to me at this point.

*Although, as I've only been active 4-5 years, I'm not sure I really count as an old boarder.
