Jaime had been very grateful to be leaving the compound although he wasn't sure how long it would be before he needed to go back. He wasn't sure how relationships worked really and certainly not with Starks. Benjen was drenched by the time he returned. It wasn't necessarially a bad thing, but he was hot and sticky and soaked with rain. But, it was good to spend some time on patrol with his brother. He and Ned needed that, he thought.

He ducked through the door to the tent and sat down on dry ground to pull off his boots. "You've been in here all day?" he asked.

He never expected Jamie of all people to adhere to wishes so strictly.

"Not all day," Jaime murmured, not minding the interuption to his humming. He smiled a little and rolled onto his side, watching Benjen closely. "Most of it though. I like this tent. It was good of you to bring it."

Benjen chuckled. "I was Ranging when I came here. I didn't have much choice in the matter, but I'm glad you like it." He pulled off his woven leather jerkin and shook the rain water out of it, black shirt clinging to his skin. "I swear, I don't know how you Southerners survive this."

Jaime reached his fingers out to wipe a raindrop off the other man's cheek. "Usually we stay indoors. Often we stay in bed too, come to think of it."
