Yay, the Serious One is back! Excellent post, brother. Slumdog wasn't my best film of 2008, but I did like it and I do share your sentiment.

Thanks man. My best film of 2008 was actually Let the Right One In, but I thought Slumdog was pretty fantastic.

I try writing often, but I end up deleting half written poss only too often. It's a phase that refuses to go away.

I thought Slumdog was a shoddily made movie, and hence didn't like it. I can understand people celebrating it, though. Hell, I can't stand the opening lines of 'Jai Ho', but I join everyone else in celebrating HIS success.

I'm surprised you think that way of the film. I thought the craft evident in mounting the film was immaculate, hence liked it quite a bit. To each his own, though.

It is amazing that this project is being shared online. I visited the museum for the first time last May, a wish I’d had for a long time- it was fantastic
