This starts with Kai running up shouting. There is probably a bit of scene before it but it is not dramatic and therefore not yet written.

If you were wondering this is when the PLOT of the book actually starts.

This is so cool! Genric has such an efficient point of view... it's like nothing ruffles him. Oh look. Half dead barbarian. Well better not have my son lookin' at titties. Ok.

Hahah. Love that.

And the turns of phrase,the hardnose tone, it all comes together very well. I can't wait to see more Ten though! He is my favorite.

Why does Amari have the purple eyes? Are there fairy magics in her, like Ryc?

Kai seems to realize that this is an emergency and emergencies are no time to be polite to your parents! Alas he doesn't quite get that the best thing he can do is run for help.

Yup! Amari is like 1/8th fairy or so. Her ears are also just a liiiiitttle pointy but her hair covers that. I think she had wing stubs too but those are usually removed when a child is very small.

Well it's HIS barbarian. Dad should run for help. It isn't fair. Grownups get to do everything cool.
