I rolled my warrior, Loredena, on the Tribunal on 9/1/99. A coworker had convinced me to play EQ by telling me ‘it’s D&D online!’. I keep getting bored with WoW and burning out, still haven't hit max there. But then, I don't raid nor pvp, and grinding instances so I can grind the heroic version of them doesn't work for me.
EQ and EQ2 were both free all summer to prior subscribers, I saw a lot of people go back, and even some newcomers. It's still a harder game then WoW of course, but it is significantly easier then back in the day.
