sisca_mainacier and I arrived at my parents' house Saturday night. My father is in Las Vegas with my brother until Wednesday. Ice cream bread... that's really intriguing! I'm going to have to try it just so I know what it's like.

Have you tried making Irish soda bread for your sister? I assume "Bextartar" is just a brand name for cream of tartar, since I'm pretty sure this is what I used when I made soda bread regularly.

We have some Irish Brown Bread mix we brought with us for her to try; we like it, if she does we'll leave her a few batches.
