But as one knows not dreams until waking, so Le Val did not truly know life and warmth until the ( Read more... )

Absolutely beautiful, as always. You never cease to impress me. I always get excited when I see you post something new.

I found this to be especially catching:
" And then it's as if all the life and energy that Time forgot gathered and anchored itself on the last remnant of the living past-and burst. Magic howls and chokes Celes and Le Val, as steadfast and patient as a lover, finally crumbles under the weight of the curse. Gone are the drifts and floating foundations. Gone are the windows and the walls; all that is is Fay, watching resolutely as the last of his companions disappears beyond the void. The castle wept ice and debris as it became a cage for the lonely child."

You win at life. And I agree with the idea that time passes quicker. By the events in Infinity, I would say it's pretty much canon. XD

And I for one like the title. It's very intriguing, which is always an attention grabber. (I am horrible with titles myself though!)

Thanks! And seriously, Fai grew up in the minutes it took between when Sakura lost her feathers to when Yukito sent Syaoran and her away! :)

Enchanting, lovely, gorgeous, poetic. Just a few words to describe how beautiful this fic is ^^ Wonderful lines as well, I alos like the title. (Yeats is one of my favs ^^)

There is betrayal and hurt and echoes of a broken heart.

And then Fay is gone.
It is quiet and still, but promises of yesterday and wishes reaching beyond future-present haunt the empty halls. The child will
return.

Days turn to months turn to years in cold tranquility, the king and the corpse forever young beneath the clear waters within the castle's heart. They lie tragic and beautiful, preserved and displayed as proof of a gentler and crueler time forgotten. They lie waiting. Waiting.

You have done such wonderful things with the challenge. This was astoundingly beautiful, so very much so that...that it's difficult to express. The title is wonderful. The idea that time passes quickly and yet not at all in Celes is so eloquently depicted, and so fitting...

Oh, I'm so happy that you got what I wanted to say about time and I hope your generous comment is some indication of my running for the challenge *wink* ~_^

Well, it could be...except that they're all so wonderful. It will be very difficult to decide the winners...

I'm glad that what I got was what you were trying to say. :D
