Because I am an Aussie, and I recognise the love and hard work Steve Irwin has put into raising awareness for the endangered and less-understood animals of Australia. I always liked him...he seemed like a genuinely nice guy. I thought he would be killed by something a bit more exotic however...or even after a really good fight with a croc.

Well said. I'm disgusted at the people who are declaring "LULZ, he's dead, GOOD, I hated him!". By the same token, I'm not going to have a problem when the inevitable jokes start. Steve would appreciate the humor, I'm sure... look at how he acted in front of the camera. He loved making people laugh.

Yeah, there's a difference between the jokes and the idiotic crowing about it. I understand that some people didn't like them, and that's fair enough. Jenny's dad met him and said he was arrogant, but even Jenny still respected him, in a way.
