Oh I just finished watching the final episode of Sailor Moon all the way through for the first time, and I'm a little teary-eyed. Gosh I've never watched through the whole series before, I petered out a couple of years ago on SuperS when I gave it a shot. And I just love Usagi so much and she's my favorite, in whatever version of the story. She ( Read more... )

That's awesome! I prefer the manga, but I grew up with anime and it was so formative for me. It was probably the first show I centred around different kinds of girls being the heroes of their one stories. It was also the first thing I ever saw about ladies being friends with one another.

Jupiter was my favourite as a kid because she was strong and cool, but liked typically "girly" things like cooking too. We're both brunette's, so I used to want to wear my hair up like her. :p

Yeah, the anime was so amazing for me as a little kid, and it kind of transferred to even now where I really love Sailor Moon. Friendships and power!

Ah, I loved Jupiter too as a kid, though I think actually Mercury was my favorite because she was smart.

It's sort of funny, actually. I just started the manga last night out of curiosity. I've seen some of the anime dub as a kid, and still remember quite a bit.

Out of curiosity, did you watch it somewhere online, download it, or....?

Heh, that is a little funny. Gosh, I don't think I can ever forget some parts of the dub.

Well, I was pretty lucky, and got most of it downloaded before MegaUpload got taken down. This blog is where I downloaded it, and they're trying to re-upload the episodes to sites that aren't MegaUpload.

Also there are definitely a bunch of anime-watching sites that have it on there, if you search for it. If you don't mind being on those sites, since they have a ton of ads on them.

They really are unforgettable in some ways, that's for sure!

I don't mind at all actually. Sometimes I prefer watching on those sites if it's an anime I may not watch again. Downloads would be sort of pointless if that's the case.

Yep, I'm getting flashbacks of Tuxedo Mask throwing roses as a song in the background crescendos with a, "Girl power!"

I definitely get that, having done it for about half of the episodes.
