Than started work towards making the area useable. I had good progress until last weekend. My 'roommate' (who had made a verbal committment) changed her mind on Monday last week in preference for someone else.
I was rather unhapy since they were due to arrive the day following. But she's done that to me before - made a verbal committment and then changed or baced out of it the day it was due.
I wished her well and said not to ask me favors.
Now, I do have space for a roommate - but it would depend how much room they needed?
Restrictions in place - no smoking in the house, one bathroom, one kitchen (with possible options for microwave and refrigerator upstairs) and furnished space (which would have to be shoveled around.)
Spring cleaning is okay so long as you don't get too carried away with it. Just keep in mind that after two years, the dust doesn't get any deeper. I know ... I've done this experiment repeatedly many times.

Just keep in mind that after two years, the dust doesn't get any deeper.
