Well done, America.

I recently moved from a place that's already done what you're about to do. I live in another such place right now. My husband is bisexual, and doesn't much care if his command knows it. Being out and comfortable hasn't made a damn bit of difference to how well people do their jobs - in either of these places - for twenty years or more. I am actually proud of my country today. History was made today and in twenty years when we or future students read about this in future history books we'll see just how right and momentous this day actually was and then wonder why it took so long to repeal and why there was such a long drawn out debate about this.
