So, the Flame Devil costume was a big hit, though we just ended up washing the last of the red out of his hair last night. But he came home from his Dad's still wearing his clothes and went to bed sobbing because he didn't want to get out of his costume . . .

At swimming lessons, he had his own entorage - some days it was my mother, my sister, my stepmother, my father, my partner and I all cheering him on when he jumped in the pool. You think the kid would have won the World Series, instead of leaped off of a two-foot ledge. But it's really important that he knows how safe and loved and protected he is. He's a neat kid - is damn easy to love him. :)
