Oh, thanks! That was one picture I couldn't draw until it drew itself, so I'm especially happy that it's working.

definitely - I love how their tangled up bodies are formed of tangled up lines.

Your lines are so loose and expressive! It makes for a nifty effect.

Thank you. I recently switched from pencil to pen, and I'm loving the side effects--I was never going to be Miss PhotoRealistic, you know? I'm committing to the lines (all of them!), and it feels good.

Those are gorgeous. I love how lively your penwork is. The picture of Sam and Ruby in bed together is particularly lovely.

You know what it's like when you have one picture in mind, this is how you're going to illustrate this point--or worse yet *no* picture, and then suddenly something you see out of the corner of your eye tells you...d'oh! This is how you *illustrate* that part of the story, dummy. Not just draw a picture, but illustrate. That's what finally working out the bed picture was like.

I'm glad you like them.

The knife is really lovely -- so much detail. I especially love the one of them in bed together, too, but they're all great. Nice job!

I drew the knife full size with all the tru fax inscriptions on it. I...I was not thinking practically when I did it, because more than a little is lost bringing it down to section separator size--but I think it's better for it!

Thanks you! And also thank you for listening to free form grumbling about me getting my ass geared correctly for this. I'm not sure how people draw without an Amy.

I hear Picasso used to complain about lack of me, actually.

Now I want to see the bigger knife!

You already know how I feel about the pictures, but it bears repeating: BEAUTIFUL AND AWESOME AND THANK YOU SO MUCH!

But she forgives me, she says, so I will only beat myself up in the quiet of my own head.

omg, please don't beat yourself up! Three pictures, a title card, and section separators? That's nothing to scoff at (and my visual art-impaired self would have been ecstatic about having ONE illustration. Seriously)!

Congrats to you too!

{p.s. The story's up, if you want to put in a link it's here: http://smells-corrupt.livejournal.com/66631.html }

Well, I have decided it's your fault, so that's liberating. It's your story that's making me want to draw that fourth picture so much, after all.

How's that DIY mental health look?

Yeah, I know. But it was fun! The pictures that actually let themselves happen were fun, especially researching the look of the little kid, and the sudden clarity with which I understood what picture to draw for the last one. Definite fun. Much outweighs whatever stupid anxiety I create for myself.
