I think I need a new migraine specialist. Aside from her reluctance to let me do the trial, she laughed at the wrong time when we spoke today. Don't fucking chuckle and tell me I'm not that bad off because I only go to the ER once a month. Just don't. It's deeply unfunny.

The migraine study people called me. But my specialist doesn't want me to do the study...

Fuck.

I need to call her about the ER anyway. I hope they're back from lunch.

Took a while getting here, so while I'm not exactly happy, it's been worse. Recently.

I haven't had a bad headache for two days. Hurrah! Wait, no--I haven't had a bad migraine. Sunday I woke up with a headache and almost cried. Then I realised it was just a headache, and I snarfed Tylenol and Aleve and it went on its merry way. Monday has been dicier, but sinus pain only. I wonder at what point one decides the meds aren't doing it, and start seeking other solutions. Problem is, all those other solutions seem to still be in the testing phase.

My nap today extended too long--I woke up at 6:44, and the krav class I intended to attend today starts at 6:45. I know better than to pick up and rush to be late--I'm always later than I'd have thought, and likely with a migraine in tow for the effort ( Read more... )
