Not all nurses know that compazine gives some people panic attacks. It was terrible before I worked out what was going on. they call it "must flee" or somesuch.  It's not a general anxiety attack. So things are going more smoothly at the ER now that you have the portacath?

Well, only one visit so far, and the nurse was much happier. Which, in the end is what this is all about. It's sort of like they scrub me clean and then punch a hole in my skin that's guaranteed vein access. No uncertainty or fiddling.

However, there might be state protocols that affect what I can get. I'm hoping to remain unaffected. Fuckers. They don't really care about effective pain treatment. But maybe the individuals will break the rules for me. Enough of them care, I hope.
