I wouldn't abandon it. The resemblance is definitely there. I think overall his face needs to be a bit softer, and his hair more mussed than going straight up, and his mouth could be a bit lower and a bit wider. But that's definitely the look in his eyes, the brow, the eyes themselves, and the cheekbones.

Thanks.

The hair is such a fuss. I'm not sure how give him sexy bed head without just stabbing at the whole thing with a pencil. Ah, Cas.

I see what you mean about the mouth. I'll move that tomorrow.

I wouldn't abandon it either--I like it.
I think you have the upper half down pretty well, and the shape of the chin, but I think the mouth isn't quite right right, and the neck is just a little too thick.

Definite the mouth then. And it's a very distinctive mouth. I think if I do that right, and his eyes, then most of the rest falls into place.

I'm never going to be one of those people that does near photo-realistic portraits--that's severely rarely my style. But I'm also not one of those people that can see the three lines that makes someone look like how they look.

But I do think I can work on individual features until they're decently recognisable. I could draw you my sister's nose right now.

It would look weird on him, though.

I look at some of the art for the big bangs and think "Damn. I could never." and others and think "Seriously? Who's that?"

I hope to fall safely in the middle.

I think the mouth is the main thing. "Fix" that, and I think you are good to go.
