When you focus on the fingers, can you get it so that your face is much more out of focus? Or is that only an effect possible from photo editing?

I could do it in camera--the main problem is that I'm not composing the scene while looking through the viewfinder. It's easier to focus on about where my head is going to be than where the fingers will be.

If I were taking the picture of someone else I think I could do it much more easily.

I've really enjoyed these last few photos. It's been interesting to me to see the 'same' composition altered measurably by small changes in head position, facial expression and that indefinable change in the look in someone's eyes.

If this is the last, I hope you return to it in a month or so.
