I still like them but I found it overwhelming to have so many to sign and so little time. And knitting gives me much satisfaction since I can wear what I spend my time with :)
Wow, so many people are quitting nowadays! But i understand, especially with the course your life is taking now. I bet this life is quite different from studentlife, right? And of course you're staying on my friendslist :)
most recently Barbara Bruno, Sabine Selinger and Katya Zykova. Also I heard Marta Coelho quit, and a while ago Emilia Heimonen, Jessica Lehto, Manuela Cantarelli, Satu Haikara. And these are just MY swappers.
Oh jesus! Sometimes I miss the slam world but I wonder if returning was so nice because I wouldn't know anyone anymore... All "old" swappers seem to focus on other things nowadays. But well, that's life.
Why are there so many people quitting slams these days? But I do understand:) By the way, I have made some half slams for us. What should I do with them now?
You can still send the halfslams to me, I will keep swapping Italian slams lightly and some of my Italian swappers also swap slams in English so I will send those to them I have some slams for you, would you like to get them? :)
Okay, I will send the half slams your way. I got your swap to day. The last one, buhu! I can take any amount of slams:) Feel free to send them my way:)
awww sere, it's a pity to see you leave the slam world! but i definitely understand your decision, i've been asking myself if i should keep on swapping, and i seriously can't come to a conclusion!
if you don't mind sending stuff to Brazil, i'd take your extras!:)
Hey there! I wanted to tell you that I read your LJ and even if I didn't comment I have been thinking about you a lot and crossing fingers for everything to go well! I also have a newborn niece (daughter of my cousin) called Flavia like you :) As soon as I will have sorted everything out I will let you know but I have no problem in sending to you :)
Very understandable decision. Work takes so much time! I loved the days at the museum where I could actually sign slams at work. :D I sometimes miss the slam world but much less than I thought. I think livejournal helps as you can keep up with the slam girls' lives here...
By the way, what's your part-time job and what are you knitting?
Yes, life is quite different now! When I still was a student my university offered this tutoring job. I have to help new students in bureaucratical things: enrolling, exams, documents, papers, books etc. It's been fun and satisfying and it's a pity it has come to an end...but it's time to move on and I feel ready for a full time job this time :) You can see the things I kint here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/67486936@N00/sets/72157603503508309/ I learned how to knit in November, when I was so stressed up for many things (graduation was closer and my thesis wasn't finished, Mega had a very tough operation and needed injections+care 3x a day + I broke up with Daniele) so I really needed something to keep me occupied and relax...and foudn that knitting was my thing :)
