Here I am with all the full slams I got back over the years! They are taking too much room and my mom keeps complaining so I am gonna keep only the fatslams and some ooooold ones (from 1993-4, when I started swapping heavy!)
so do you ever end up looking through them for hours? i should probably get such a big plastic box for mine too.. but the last time i went home, i started throwing away the ones i did not like - no use in keeping them! xo
I often did it in the past but haven't done it in years. I kept the oldest and the most beautiful ones, and I am going to throw away the others. Today is recycling sunday and people are encouraged to leave bags full of paper, plastic etc at the edge of the streets, guys from the town service are picking them up tonight :)
Same for me. I've gotten back quite a lot of slams as well, but also some poor quality ones that i saw no point in keeping. But these amounts are really impressive!
That is really a huuge amount of slams! But it's not so surprising, because you made so many of them in the past and I have seen hundreds made for you as well :) Just think, how many kilometres they travelled, how many stamps were bought, how many kilograms postmen carried and so on... it's amazing to think! My mother also told me a few times already, that I won't be able to keep all these old letters, that they take so much space away and wants me to take many things with me when I'll have a new flat, but so far I say no way to throwing them out ;) (I have more old letters than slams at home) However, throwing away things you don't need anymore is a good thing, it's like cleaning up your life :) But the thought of all those nice slams on the street makes me kind of sad :)
