Edgeworth walked along the park paths with his hands in his overcoat's pockets. There was an unusual spring in his step--if the man could ever have one--and a look of satisfaction graced his features (as opposed to the usual irritation or cynical facade).

He passed a series of knolls and shrubbery under the soft yellow lights and breathed in the clean spring night air.

Tonight had been a successful night for Miles Edgeworth.

Sariel perked slightly at hearing footsteps along one of the paths. She sat up, and tried to find who was walking around at this time of night. After a few minutes of squinting in the dark, she made out the figure of Edgeworth, dimly lit by the lamps planted along the path.

"Hey," she called out from where she was seated.

At the sound of an unexpected voice, Edgeworth jumped and his fist curled around a knife he had in one of his pockets. He stared into the darkness, as the path was well-lit, and saw that Sariel was sitting on the grass. He relaxed somewhat and raised a light hand in greeting.

"Good evening."

She didn't want to get up. She was comfortable as anything where she was sitting. So she attempted to wave him over instead, hoping he'd sit down with her.

"Someone's in a good mood."
