My grandma has been really sick for the past month or so. She's getting a little better now, but it's fluid in her lungs and around heart, so it's nothing to joke about

This is an urgent matter so it's best to ask right at work as soon as possible and to get an answer in a timely manner, as well to give the heads up that you MAY have to leave at anytime. No manager would ever refuse.

Yeah, I think I'll just call. I'll be calling my grandma this week to see how she's doing.

I'm hoping the dude won't say no. I did get a month off last year :/
