*hug* the world's messed up isn't it? but we'll set it straight! just you wait and see, we'll bitchslap it a few times and get it to straighten up!

Oh yeah X/1999 is insanely angsty. Admittedly I didn't like it much the first time, but then after reading the manga and sympathizing with Kamui a bit more I was crying just about every episode, like tears streaming down my face crying. It's kind of ironic that I agree with the other side (Dragons of Earth) more than with the main character's side, don't have too much sympathy for humans, but guess even CLAMP couldn't bring themselves to wipe out all humans.

Have you seen the movie? They kill people so fast in the movie you don't even have time to react before another one dies O__o

yup it is most definitely effed up. That's why we're here, I guess, ^_^

HEHE, I can't say that the Dragons of Earth ideal is totally bad, cause the human race sorta deserve it, but then you have those few indiidual cases that make all the difference.

God I watched a bit of the movie but then stopped it. Totally agree with you there, I think everyone does! The TV series is so much better (and angstier since you have time to absorb all the tragic little details).

*hugs you too* I'm one of those hippy-dippy people who stands on the sidelines going 'but let's all just love each other!' I think maybe that's one reason why I read/watch so much fantasy/sci fi - it's a great form of escapism from the real world :)

Keep meaning to read Loveless but haven't got to it yet (or did you mean you got the anime?). Gorgeous Carat - yay! I've read the scanlation of it but you've reminded me now that it's published and I can get a proper copy. I'm also reading 'Cantarella' by You Higuri too, and that's great as well.

Full Metal Alchemist - I think I'm the only one in the world that just hasn't got into it! It just didn't grab me for some reason.

X/1999 - totally love it. Again I've only read the manga rather than seen the anime, but the art and story are all brilliant. It's disappointing that they've put the series on hold - but I hope they'll get back to it. Have you read any other CLAMP stuff? Xxxholic, Legal Drug and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle are all brilliant too :)

*hugs back* I am in total agreement with you about escapism, which is ironic since my program of study is Int'l Dev. and Globalization.

But I guess I felt a sense of responsibility. I live in this wolrd too, and I believe if we all do a little someting we can prevent total disaster from occuring.

As for Loveless OMG I love it and I did see the anime, which I'm will be getting once it comes out in box form. The anime sorta introduced me to Loveless and the seiyuus are just wonderful *'specially Soubi's* ^_^

I thought the scanlations were fantastic but to have it in your own hands . . . *shivers* Only two thinhs were jarring to me, but other than that BLU did a good job! I already know what's going to happen but I want to have it in my hands to read! I've heard about Cantarella, what's it about?

FMA is de bomb! XD, As usual I started off with the anime. The ten 1st epsiodes were so dull I was about to give up but then we got to the Elrics storyline, and I just cracked >_<. THey were only trying to do the impossible and for trying ( ... )

Oh, maybe I should give FMA another go then, as I only watched 5 or 6 eps :)

Cantarella is You Higuri's take on the Borgia family - mystery, intrigue and murder in Renaissance Italy :) 'Cantarella' itself is the poison the Borgias supposedly used to murder their rivals. I do love all her historically-themed stuff :)

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle is one of my absolute faves. It crosses over with Xxxholic a bit, but you don't necessarily need to read that one as well (but that's equally as good). My fave character in TRC is a magician called Fai who is hilarious and very cute. I love 'pretty and sweet' male characters in manga. However I also love the evil villains, so maybe I'm schizo!

Anyway, let me know what you think of TRC if you read it :)
