K-chan NEWS [09.12.12] Translation + DL

A/N: UWAAAAA!!! I'm so behind the translations @___@ Been busy with some stuff lately, so I haven't had the chance to really translate >< So yes, I'm sorry for keeping you waiting again and this time, for 3 weeks m(_ _)m But here's to make it up to you all! Since a few people have been asking me about where they can listen, I decided to upload downloadable mp3's for you ^^ Basically, I get them from Youtube, but I tend to lose the links, so I never got the chance to give links to those who were looking for them. Hehe~

So anyway, this episode was VERY interesting because it had a guest whom you all haven't seen in a long time. I think you know who~~~

I couldn't stop laughing my butt off while listening to this, but I don't want spoilers, so just go on and listen and read [or while listening, you read for some of you hehe xD] and laugh with me 8D

Enjoooooy~!

*note: The songs are cut

K: Good evening~. This is NEWS’ Koyama Keiichiro! Everyone, sorry to keep you waiting… oh, maybe you weren’t waiting. The guest is him. It’s been exactly 3 months since he was here. It’s Kato Shigeaki-kun!

S: I got pretty free now, ne?

K: It’s been 3 months, so that means it’s been 1 cool (referring to the term for ‘3 months’).

S: I wonder why?

K: It’s been so long! It might have ended for good.

S: *laughs* So TegoMassu were here for quite some time?

K: Seems like it. I was wondering if the manager passed you a message saying you can take a break from K-chan NEWS.

S: He did it!

K: It’s not really like that~.

S: I’ll see you again in 3 months then!

K: So you’re the guest who only comes every 1 cool.

Both: *laughs*

K: But no, no, please come. And speaking of which from now, your drama’s starting. Your schedule might not match too.

S: Oh yeah. But I might have been here today because of that.

K: Track number? You look out for a number?

S: *laughs* Tracking number?

K: *laughs* And well… even in private, you got to go fishing even in the middle of the concert, right?

S: Yes, I was able to go fishing! With Ohno-senpai.

K: Yes, with Ohno-san.

S: Yeah~ we also tried with dolphins. We get to go after them, but we just can’t seem to catch them. I guess it had to do with our strategy.

K: Oh yeah. It’s really long, ne.

S: Yeah~. I want to go again~. We plan to go fishing 25 hours around this month or next month. We did that before. With Ohno-kun.

K: There we go~. Endurance. Or is it endurance?

S: I never have that feeling of enduring it. I don’t really endure that.

K: Well, yeah. It’s not something you’d endure.

S: It’s like all of a sudden, 24 hours is over.

K: Wow! But I’m sure your personal time will be gone too eventually, right?

S: That’s true~.

K: It would be better if you go while you can.

S: And we’re still in the middle of the tour too.

K: Yeah, so we will be talking more about the live in Keiichiro’s Room. Let’s go with the first song! NEWS’ Chankapana~

(Song: Chankapana)

K: Shigeaki-sensei’s Law of Life!

S: Koyama, you’re so noisy! This is on air!

K: “Law of Life!” (UGH HOW HE SAID THIS PART WAS SO CUTE Q_Q) That’s how I said it.

S: *laughs* Why does your voice sound like that?

K: I didn’t do it intentionally.

S: And I don’t even remember this segment.

K: Right? It’s been 3 months. So I’ll explain. It’s where people will be sending those laws/principles that the teacher would go, “I understand/feel that!”

S: Okay~

K: I was reading the mails earlier and a lot of them are about things that are acceptable.

S: So it’s kind of like things that are acceptable for Kato Shigeaki-sensei?

K: Yeah, like if you’ve encountered it or agree to it.

S: So whether I have or not.

K: Yep.

S: I think I have!

K: He thinks he has! What… why… Ero shigin

S: *laughs*

K: *laughs* We’ll start now? Koya-eri-san from Saitama prefecture, “I get really annoyed when I wind the cord of the vacuum cleaner back and there are some that get left.” Can you relate to this?

S: I think I do!

K: I think so too! How come the last part doesn’t get winded properly?

S: I wonder why? Maybe it was really intended that way? But it winds properly when you press it.

K: Maybe it works if you loosen it a bit and press it lightly

S: Ah, maybe.

K: Then you let it go in. But the pressure hurts in the hand when it goes so fast at first.

S: That one’s scary! I know how that feels! The tape measures are scary too.

K: That one has that too!

S: That one’s dangerous.

K: Yeah. So he has.

S: I do.

K: So what’s this? “Shigeaki-sensei has or not?”

S: *laughs* I know~ I super understand that.

K: Let’s go with the next one. Yuunana from Osaka. “They say it’s okay to not study because you go to an affiliated university, but when you don’t study, it’ll be pretty bad.” So it’s bad?

S: It is. It doesn’t mean the school is an affiliated university, you can go there.

K: Does this mean like a consistency from middle school to high school?

S: Well there aren’t any entrance exams, so they base it on the lowest. So if you don’t reach the quota, you can’t go to college. And in our school, they base it on our unit and they prioritize the one with the highest units.

K: So there’s a ranking, ne?

S: So I really studied like in high school.

K: Ohhh~

S: Now that I think about it, I studied like hell.

K: Really?

S: It’s so nice that adults don’t have the stuff like midterms and periodicals. *laughs* Don’t you think so lately?

K: Well, you’re right. But I think that really depends.

S: It’s like right after midterms, there are periodicals. Are there even breaks for exams lately?

K: But we stopped studying, ne? Well we do, but it’s all more on life.

S: Well we don’t actually sit in front of a desk and write. We stopped writing.

K: We also don’t write roots [referring to the one in math like square root].

S: I never understood root.

K: Sin, cosine, tangent. Where do you even use those?!

S: Trigonometry, ne?

K: Well, well, well, there’s no choice. We have to study that.

S: It’ll be better if you study.

K: That’s right~.

S: You might not actually use it, but it’s I guess it can be an approach for studying about living also in this world.

K: Ah~. We’ll go with the next one. Masukaho from Aichi prefecture. “I don’t know how to ride [like with the flow] when a friend is singing in the karaoke. Please teach me, Shigeaki-sensei.”

S: I don’t get it at all.

K: When you’re in the karaoke with your friends, for example I’m singing. How are you like usually?

S: Well in that case, I look at the [song list].

K: *laughs*

S: I display the songs from the song list from ‘those days’. (HAHAHA Shige-chan must be singing a lot of old songs xD)

K: ‘Those days’, ne. *laughs* So…

S: Songs like from year 2000.

K: But sometimes when I’m singing, you start saying things I don’t understand like, “Eh-Eyyyy!” (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I COULDN’T SERIOUSLY STOP LAUGHING MY BUTT OFF HERE. KEPT REPEATING THIS PART =)) I imagined Shige-chan actually doing that and it’s sooo funny HAHAHAHA!!)

Both: *laughs*

K: You do, right?

S: *laughs* I do, ne. Now that I think about it. But you also do that, right?

K: Well I do that a lot and I’m an expert.

S: You also do that like in between, “Cheeey, cheeey~” and “Hoo-ah! Hoo-ah!” (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA)

K: You’re not the type of person who’d talk, right? So I would kind of put a dance to it. And then you tend to bottle it up, right? So on the last part, I have to explain it to them.

S: You do! You do!

K: There are also people who are first timers, right? So I have to tell you, “Kato-san! Don’t hold it in! Don’t hold it in! You’re suppose to sing on that part!”

S: “The next song is about to start!”

K: “It’s gonna start!” I have to explain it and it’s troublesome.

S: And then you’re like, “This is the good part! The good part! The good part!”

K: *laughs*

S: And I tend to go too fast.

K: Yeah, and then when you start…

S: It becomes like a home video.

K: And then when you don’t want to talk and you sing, you get applauded by the audience like in a dinner show. So during the intro, I say, “Kato-san will be having a dinner show now” like I’m the moderator.

S: It’s suddenly like that lately, ne?

K: I guess it’s something we established. But more than going with the flow, why don’t you make it lively?

S: You should applaud.

K: I think it would be best if someone explains. Next is the last one. Yuuri-san from Chiba Prefecture. It says here, “Don’t you feel like climbing when you see a mountain in front of you?”

S: *laughs* No, I don’t.

K: *laughs* When there’s a mountain?

S: No, I don’t think so!

K: No? So you don’t.

S: I have a bit of that desire for mountains.

K: I also do a bit. I kinda want to try climbing.

S: But I don’t think you can. It might cause you mountain sickness.

K: But when I was younger, I used to go mountain-climbing with my mom every week.

S: Every week?

K: Every week. I went to Mt. Takao, Oyama, Mt. Fuji and we watched the sunrise. Then I got mountain-sick.

S: *laughs* So you did.

K: *laughs* I did. But I climbed! I even bought shoes and that thing like a wand and even clothes.

S: *laughs* Wand?

K: Yeah. *laughs* I had everything. I did.

S: I’ve never been to Mt. Fuji. I have a bit desire for mountains. Like the recent Mirai Theater when Okada-kun climbed the mountain and talked to someone with a completely different occupation and mountain-climbers. I think the mountains are good a bit, but if it’s for vacation, I prefer to go to the beach.

K: But there are a lot of stuff like for the idol magazines [like Myojo (Koyama mentioned this as M-jou but I assumed this was Myojo to not mention names on air)]…

S: Our pictures where we’re climbing the mountain… I wonder if we look okay. Won’t we look so ugly? (HAHAHAH LOL imagine them derping while climbing up the mountain HAHAHA)

K: *laughs* We might look pretty tired.

S: But I think I want to go for work.

K: If we’re going, ne?

S: Yeah, why don’t we go for Mirai Theater?

K: Mirai Theater, ne~.

S: They might be like, “Why?” *laughs*

K: To go after the mountain-climbers? Like for an interview, ne?

S: Ah~ yeah. We’ll watch them.

K: Well anyway, so no. I think this is becoming a segment for agreeing.

S: Yeah~. It’s like a quotation. “There’s a mountain there.” I guess it’s the quotation of a mountain-climber.

K: Yes, yes. Well please send more [for acceptable]. That’s all for Shigeaki-sensei’s Law of Life.

S: It’s okay with ‘The Acceptable’?

K: *laughs* Yeah.

K: Keiichiro’s Room! So now, I don’t talk about the live tour with you. Well Massu and Tegoshi did too. Well for Chichibunomiya…

S: Ah, really? That’s okay, right?

K: As for you, Kato-san… you sobbed. And…

S: Koyama-san, that was fake crying, right?

K: Do you think I can fake cry there? My personality would be so bad if I did. It would be so black!

S: *laughs*

K: *laughs* It just came out… well, not really come out, but all my feelings turned into tears.

S: Yeah, but I’ve been thinking. Massu makes fun of me like that time when I cried in Kinpaichi (3-nen B-gumi Kinpachi Sensei), right? But Massu cries even during the [dry-run] ever since Kinpachi. It’s like he cries like… “Why do you have to cry now?” He cries so early.

K: He also makes fun of me.

S: I understand why people cry in certain situations and I understand Massu, but he’s so fast. It’s like, “You’ll cry now?” It’s like, “Let’s do our best to endure this for awhile, ne?” I really understand that this time, he gave in. Like in Share. I almost cried too. But he’s was so fast in crying. I think he’s pretty much of a cry-baby too.

K: I expected this kind of flow too, but Massu gave in first, ne?

M: Massu usually creates this atmosphere like, “I’m okay!” but in this case, he was like, “ *crying*I’M OKAAAAY~。゚(゚´Д`゚)゚。” (I just had to put an emoticon here because I pictured Shige imitating Massu with that face HAHAHA) That was so unusual.

K: He was like… “Thank yooooouuuuuu~!。゚(゚´Д`゚)゚。”

Both: “*crying* Thank yooouuuuuuuuu~ 。゚(゚´Д`゚)゚。“

K: *says something, still copying Massu* (THIS WAS SO BAD HAHAHAHAHA) *laughs*

S: *laughs*He’ll be mad, for sure~. (GOOD YOU KNOW BECAUSE THAT WAS REALLY AWFUL HAHAHAHA)

K: For sure~. When you cry in NEWS, it becomes a joke.

S: Yeah.

K: And we did [a concert] in Chichibunomiya. That was a rugby stadium, right?

S: It was, ne?

K: And having to be able to do a concert in Chichibunomiya , the one who took a big part in the rugby stadium was unexpectedly you, Kato-san.

S: Yeah, I did. I was the kick-off presenter. To put it simpler, it was like the opening pitch ceremony and I was the one who hands over - deliver the rugby ball.

K: *laughs* You didn’t have to place it? You had to hand it over?

S: Yeah, hand it over.

K: I see…

S: They’re gonna kick it and what? The game will begin! And we don’t even know rugby! Like in the home of rugby like in U.K, it’s someone skilled who does that.

K: But you didn’t know that they do this, right?

S: I didn’t. I knew that they never did here in Japan all this time.

K: That’s nice, ne? But we’re connected that way~.

S: I got so nervous! They were like, “KATOOOOO!! IKEMEEEEN!!” That was scary. There were a lot of passionate fans.

K: That’s nice~. Well we still have Hiroshima and Sapporo after this, so for those who can come, please look forward to it! So now, this isn’t an announcement, but…

S: It’s not an announcement?

K: Because I’m sure there are a lot of people who know about this already.

S: Ahhh~ well, well, well.

K: Okay, say it.

S: I’ll be in the drama ‘Hana no Zubora-meshi’ starting October. It’s a midnight drama, so my apologies for the late [airing] time.

K: No, no.

S: It’s from 1am on MBS and TBS. It’s starring Kurashina Kana-chan. I’m an original character.

K: In the first place, what does ‘zubora-meshi’ mean?

S: ‘Zubora-meshi’ is the meal cooked by a slob (zubo means ‘slob’ and meal means ‘rice’). In other words, the easily-cooked food. It’s like cooking good food out of simple things. Originally, the manga was very feminine and it was no.1 and it was really popular this year. It’s like a woman with high-tension who cooks really good stuff out of simple stuff. It looks really good.

K: So in context, if you watch, you’ll also learn to do the easy-cooking.

S: You will, and it’s not exactly 3 Minute Cooking (there is a program like that every lunch time before Waratte! Iitomo xD) but in the ending of the show, there’s something like that and that’s what I’ll be doing. I’m a male cook!

K: Male cook, ne?

S: I’m so glad I cook!

K: Yeah~. This is starting on October. And Massu is also having a drama. This is on Thursdays at 9pm on TBS, right? And I also have Hello, Goodbye.

S: That’s Slow, Goodbye, right?

K: W… Why slow?

S: Or K-Kurou (Japanese for ‘pain/suffering’), Goodbye?

K: Why suffering? What are you writing? Don’t hand that over! (I think Shige or the staff was writing something on paper and handing it over to one another for Shige to say on air xD)

S: Ah! Hello Kitty!

K: *laughs* Sanrio-san will come out?

S: *laughs* yeah.

K: Oi! Gai! (the staff) Don’t play around!

S: *laughing*

K: Let’s do it properly, ne? So it’s Hello, Goodbye. So if you have time, please do come!

S: I’ll definitely go. Niro, Goodbye. (I didn’t get this one ;;)

K: There’s such? *laughs* That’s bad. Oh yeah~, I remembered that you get bullied like this when you have a stage play. (LOLOL HIGHSCHOOL MUSICAL HAHAHAHA!!)

S: You’re the one who gets bullied the most.

K: Oh yeaaah~. Well there are a lot so please look forward to them! That’s all for Keiichiro’s Room!

K: We’re ending. For the show, we are accepting mails from you; Massu’s Tonight’s Seat, Girls’ Talk, Imagination ~Kiss Situation~, Shigetter, Masuda Takahisa: Wild Transformation, Tegoshi’s First Experience, Shigeaki-sensei’s Law of Life, and many more. For the mails, the address is postal code 105-8002 Bunkahousou Tues, K-chan NEWS. For the e-mails, the address is news@joqr.net. You can access it from the mobile website as well.

S: *making a weird sound in the background while Kei-chan is talking*

K: What are you doing? Enclosing?

S: *laughs* ‘Cause we’re ending.

K: Yeah, we’re ending. This was NEWS’ Koyama Keiichiro and…

S: Kato Shigeaki!

K: For the last song, NEWS’ Ai wa Simple na Curry Rice!

(Song: Ai wa Simple na Curry Rice)
