"Chloe, I have a proposition for you." Heeeeee. Oliver spent time rehearsing what he was going to say to her and that's what he leads with? That exchange was so cute and Chloe's reaction was spot-on
( ... )
Hee! In his defence, it wasn't exactly what he planned to say.
More importantly, this:
You definitely write one of my favorite Chloes.
*hugs* Thank you! That means so much to me. As is the fact that you can re-read Calendar Girl for the zillionth time. I'm too scared to go back and read it because of how much that story changed my life. Which sounds strange, but is also accurate.
One thing I've always loved about Chloe and Oliver are their imperfections, yet they're able to hold a strong front. That balance is tricky, so again, thanks.
Back to this fic, I always thought that part was important to Chloe. As you said, the crime fighting doesn't faze her, but she's not immune to people using her (not even in this fic).
That said, Evie had to tag in, but not because of how long she's known Chloe. Her secret is the toughest to explain and she only touched on the surface here.
No problem. If I can map out the rest of a particular arc, I might get to bi-weekly posting sooner than I thought.
Totally amazing I'm glad Ollie finally told his secret and Chloe's on the team And I'm even happier that Chloe took it all so well and didn't get upset about anything
It was time for him to come clean. Any longer would have made things more complicated. Even though Chloe understands why he would hesitate, she respects him more for telling her.
