I have been enjoying this a great deal, and I hope you continue to post updates on such a regular basis! You write Gibbs's and Tony's relationship so well here-- subtle and implied, but strong nonetheless. Reminds me of the early seasons on the show. I really miss those interactions between the two of them.
Also, I'm starting to wonder now just exactly Anthony wanted to see The Fox so badly. For the number of references, there seems to be some deeper meaning behind it.
I was trying to channel season one in writing Gibbs and Tony here--back when they had a sort of effortlessly-implied history/familiarity. I miss that, too, and I'm very flattered you think this is like that!
As for The Fox, I'll say it gets referenced so often mostly for the ongoing joke of Timothy never being able to live it down, but there is a turnabout with those references coming. Also, I had a lot of ideas as to why Anthony wanted to see it, but they didn't end up making it in--maybe I'll do another little ficlet afterwards: "Concerning the Play."
I'm reading this all in one go and haven't commented yet (too busy clicking to find out MOAR!), but I had to mention that lovely line, because it made me giggle out loud at work.
