Ratatouille is a very funny, inventive film. I expected a lot of clichés in it, like sappiness, but it was instead a refreshing, light-heartening viewing.

Indeed. Not too many clichés,and I don't mean clichés about the French, but more like sappiness you know. Ratatouille is the anti-Pettigrew!
