Sickle Moon, Part 1

Aug 12, 2009 08:02

Note: I realized I was never going to be able to move forward with the next chapter of Sickle Moon unless I took a few steps back and rewrote Chapter 1, which I composed without really knowing where things were going.  I can't escape the feeling that I did Godric and Eric a disservice.  So, I’ve changed it.  It’s no longer a rape scene but it’s ( Read more... )

Wow, holy crap! It's so easy to forget sometimes that these are vampires we're talking about -- the dynamics of their sexuality are different than humans. There's more dominance and submission involved. You look at Godric, this wee little youngster, and you don't think he could or would overpower big, giant Eric. But Eric has a deep respect for his maker, and that power, that dominance could be an excellent explanation for why.

Really nice job, thank you! I'd be really curious to see what happens to Sookie when Eric drags her, kicking and screaming, to Godric.

Godric doing Sookie harm would completely reject the character as presented. He hung out in the church, bemused by all that was around him even to the point where... guy's name was Gabe..? believed Godric wouldn't harm him.

It's one thing to brutalize a vampire who will heal... but a human woman is another story.

Speaking of which, hahah, with the recent bit about Jessica's hymen growing back, you know with anal sex they'd have pretty much the exact same problem, wouldn't they? Pretty much ever time they'd be just as tight. Seems to be lube would be vital.

This is all true; at the same time, the Godric/Eric fan fic plays with these truths. Godric as presented on the recent shows didn't seem like he'd be having any fun sex and drinking vampire blood either, and that's most of what the enjoyably slashy fic is giving us...

If it makes you feel better, though, I agree with you. Having him brutalize Eric is one thing, but I'm not interested in writing about him hurting Sookie.

Stay tuned! I'm walking a line here ... it's fan FICTION, so on one level (as I've tried to make clear) I'm not sweating the details in terms of whether someone finds me outside the facts of the books or TV series. OTOH I'm not interested in doing anything spectacularly nasty to Sookie -- although I'll point out (having read the books) that Charlaine Harris as the author does all sorts of nasty things to Sookie...

Wow.♥ What an excellent piece of fanfic.

Loved the great range of emotions you've displayed with Eric. Great blend of fear, passion, submissiveness and desire.

Hey, thanks! I'm trying to maintain the threat level without freaking anyone out. Hey, they've been together a thousand years. They're vampires. I want them to get a little wild, you know?

I like the changes. They're...wow.

Vampires are dark. It's true. Fluffy fics are nice, but every once in awhile I like seeing something like this. Where the power levels are obvious, and the control is there, and things aren't butterfly-rainbow-ponies.

This? This you accomplished nicely. Thank you. :D

What is better than Godric displaying his quiet BAMFitude? Not much.

Looks like I need to comment again! lol. Still love it. UNF, I really do love an assertive Godric. <3

I really like the redone version, although I enjoyed the first one also. This one seems a bit more in character with Godric to me though. Can't wait for more!

Ha ha, yeah, I'll just keep rewriting chapter one and you can come back and comment. Yes, this fits in more... when I wrote the first one we all hadn't come to love him so much.
