The puzzle to me of Eric's growing attachment, and how they grow from tolerating each other to this powerful love, is a wonderful story to play with and write.

It was a very powerful fic! I loved how Eric couldn't quite put words on his feelings for his maker, and how peculiar their relationship was. I could imagine something like this between them. :)

Yeah ... the nightmare scenario. That was you, wasn't it? It wasn't in this originally, but it seemed so perfect I wrote it.

Eric would totally throw an apple at Godric's head, you know it. :)

That, my lovely, was completely gorgeous. I love that Eric, and we, are never really sure of what Godric is remembering. It's so frustrating, but it puts me right where Eric is... completely helpless to make it any better and hating that I can't fix it. It was a brilliant way to force the reader into Eric's emotional state. Bravo.

But then, I don't expect anything less from you. ;)

I'm so glad you liked this! You'll likely find out what happened, in bits and pieces... although it's not written yet. But I'm working on two parallel fics, one then and one now, where it could come up. In any case, it's great fun for me to imagine how they might have started off on the road to becoming who they are now.
