Guess I'm bored with LJ. I've migrated to Twitter and have a lot more fun with that. I post infrequently here as it is, and am pretty sporadic at how much attention I pay to my friends' posts (sorry!). Not saying I'm giving this up; I'll keep posting when I have, y'know, things to say that take more than 160 characters, but I dunno. Twitter's ( Read more... )

Man... too many people are abandoning LJ for the Twitter bandwagon. :/

I've been on here since 2003, and if you ask me, the only thing making it stale for me is all the friends on my watch list jumping ship.

I have a twitter account as well, but I have far too much to say at a time, and it's usually impossible to squeeze it in under 140 characters.

I know how you feel about it being a bandwagon. I gave Twitter the cold shoulder for the longest time, but discovered once I started using it that I really liked it. LJ has its place, and I'm not leaving or anything. Just for whatever reason, I haven't felt as compelled to share myself in great detail often. Twitter provides a stream-of-consciousness style I find refreshing, an outlet for amusing (and sometimes not so amusing) comments and dialogue that otherwise wouldn't justify making a whole journal entry about.

I actually rather like the format here, it's clean, ad free, and simple.

I guess it might be time to think about getting myself a twitter account, I suppose.

You might like it if you give it a shot. It's not for everyone, and some of the trending topics spam is a little silly, but it's been a good place for me to meet people I kind-of knew, but never really had the opportunity to chat with otherwise. I dunno!
