netflix does this to people

So I started watching Grey's Anatomy on Netflix and just made it to season fourish. I think. I expected--hoped--for another ER, which no, this is not, but I did get excited because I liked none of the character and therefore no shenanigans were off limits whatsoever, which is a fantastic way to watch a soap opera-y medical drama. Uh, you don't know me and yet this will be my second comment today. I found your journal for Kris/Adam fic and just happened to pop up as a Southern peep who is GA obsessed. My guess is your Cristina love will stick like bread dough cause she just gets better, frankly. And then not, but I digress. I love Meredith, but you're not alone in the hate. That show ate me in a way that makes me slightly embarrassed. Only slightly.

I really really wanted to like GA -- but didn't make it thru even 1 ep. *shrug* wasna meant to be I guess. Emergency spoiled me rotten, likewise the first season or so of House. but my soap opera tolerance is microscopic, so when the show is mostly about teh emo, nahhh.

Emergency rocked right thru Dr. Mark dying. After that it was still good, but not at the same level. and eventually it just jumped the fucking shark.

good you haz a fandom to play with! Stargate Atlantis has eaten my brain for the last year, have 2 stories done and a 3rd in progress. it gave me my writing back -- that, and Naked NaNo. something about a deadline really works for me, where otherwise I'm da slowest fuckin' writer ever born. I still owe someone an auction story from back in 2011, TOS. I am a bad dog. I must wear the Cone of Shame. lol...

peace out, grrrrl. hope ya get some mellower weather soon. we got some rain finally (sigh, no snow dammit) so who knows, weirder things've happened...

God help me, I was addicted to this show. Up until about a year ago. I loved Bailey, Callie, George and the manslut Dr. McSteamy (yes, I am that shallow).

I grew to like Alex too. However, I don't like what the writers do to him in future episodes. And really that's about when I stopped watching. Maybe season 7 or so? Not sure.

Finally, the show just got too emotional for me to watch. My oldest daughter and I would watch it, her from FL and me from PA then we would compare notes. She had synovial sarcoma and passed away last August, so that series is one I've avoided totally. But I do agree with your assessment on the characters. And Meredith, blah.
