Thanks to work things this weekend, no Star Trek for me, which I am not sobbing hysterically over but as we have delayed double deployment at the end of hte month, it's more exhaustion than anything that's keeping me from doing so.

One slant on the Prime Directive I remember discussing during my very-active ST fandom days had to do with *why* development of warp drive was the hinge point. It had nothing to do with preserving the evolutionary integrity and socio-political sovereignty of indigenes; rather, it was about protecting the *Federation
