Four things:

1.) I'll be in Chicago from Thursday to Sunday to play with svmadelyn and various Chicago people and introduce her to my friend V, so if there is anything I am supposed to be doing that needs doing and I forgot, really need to email me so I know. Because um, I forgot.

2.) svmadelyn and I on an offnight. I am not writing this fic.

Right, so--I am in Chicago. I totally understand if you are massively busy, because Thursday to Sunday is not a long time, but--if you want to have coffee, talk about Merlin, bounce ideas about your fic in real-time, whatever--let me know!

NO, would love to! Yes, please! svmadelyn is putting together a dinner thing on Saturday if you have time? Entry here and yes! Or another time if that one isn't doable, just let me know.

Yes, okay! There's...well, there's sort of another thing that night, that I am sort of debating skipping, but I will at least come for a little while! If you would like to and would have time to hang out more leisurely on Friday or earlier Saturday, I would be totally down for that as well. Otherwise, see you Saturday evening!

Oooh Chicago!

What I have learned living here for 10 months:
Chicago is good eating. Lots and lots of good eating.

Also, kinda fun to pretend that you wandered through a random Due South episode.

I lol'd at item 2. If only someone were willing to turn that into a fic. *pointed sigh* And oh my god, Crown of the Summer Court, it made my life. Then again, all her stories do.

svmadelyn: arthur: new promotion for you!

Suddenly, the whole legend makes sense.

Mind you, I always thought going off in search of a holy cup was kind of silly, so IT'S ENTIRELY POSSIBLE that Merlin and Arthur also spent weeks searching for a holy fork. And possibly the holy napkin holder, the holy salt shaker and the holy cake knife too.

If you think of "Holy Grail" as a euphemism for "Taking my sorcerer boyfriend for exhibitionistic sex in random locations throughout Albion" then suddenly, the entirety of Arthurian legend just snaps into focus.
