I got the go ahead and "I trust you" from Kevin today to get started on some ideas I have for the house... woo hoo... so here's some before pictures. I'll post the during and after shots as the process goes. :) Good news is, almost everything we buy (materials, paint, blinds etc) we can take off our rent. As you can see, we've just been sticking

Have the paneling taken OUT. We had that crap in my house and I had to take it out myself. If your landlord is offering to do it, LET HER DO IT! You'll love it

In spite of needing a little updating you have a really cute home.

Unless you're going for some sort of ironic retro look--which would require installing some orange shag carpet--get the panelling removed. That wall would look great painted some sort of accent color.

The gold nick-nacks are very cool.

Apparently some beer pong gets played in the garage from time to time. :P

You're room showing the bed. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm. So that's where all the action happens. :D

I love the back yard and though, 'you could walk around naked there!' until I saw the facing west picture. It's still a great backyard and I'm sure Lane loves it too.

Altogether groovy, you're going to love personalizing it.
